Breaking Through the High-Altitude Photovoltaic Challenge: Q-SUN Shines at Intersolar Europe 2025!

A gentle late-spring breeze brushes through the historic alleys of Bavaria, as sunlight pierces the clouds and bathes this city—where industrial heritage meets modern innovation—in a golden hue.

From May 7 to 9, 2025, the globally anticipated energy industry event—Intersolar Europe—was grandly held at Messe München, the New International Exhibition Center in Munich, Germany.

As the largest alliance of energy-related exhibitions in Europe, this year’s Intersolar spans over 200,000 square meters, attracting 2,737 exhibitors from 57 countries and regions. With over 100,000 visitors expected, it has once again become a global hub for the solar PV industry.

Following six months of dedicated R&D, Q-SUN unveiled its next-generation Hima Series , specifically engineered for harsh, high-altitude environments such as the Alps. Coupled with intelligent energy storage solutions, Q-SUN once again showcased the strength of Chinese innovation in the global energy arena.

From the Alps to the World——Addressing Europe’s Energy Transition

Q-SUN centers its high-precision Hima series within a high-efficiency product portfolio to precisely align with the evolving needs of Europe’s energy transition.

  • The Hima Series modules are engineered with enhanced UV resistance and extreme cold durability, and have been structurally upgraded to withstand 10,000 Pa front loads and 8,500 Pa rear loads, significantly exceeding the standards of conventional PV modules. They have also passed more rigorous hail impact testing, involving ice balls with a diameter of 45 mm impacting at a speed of 30.7 m/s. The series has already been successfully deployed at scale across the Alpine region, effectively addressing the long-standing reliability challenges faced by PV systems in high-altitude environments
  • The ONYX Series, featuring an all-black design, seamlessly integrates with modern architecture—catering to the residential market’s pursuit of “invisible PV.”
  • The MERCURY Series, with a conversion efficiency of 23.2% and IP68-rated sand and wind resistance, has become a “LCOE optimizer” for utility-scale ground-mounted solar plants.
  • At the same time, Q-SUN also showcased its residential smart energy storage system (ESS), offering off-grid energy autonomy solutions tailored to the European household market—further supporting the region’s energy transition.

Rooted in Europe——Decoding the Market Landscape

As Europe’s largest economy, Germany’s energy transition path sets a benchmark for the continent. In 2024, the country added 14.2 GW of new PV capacity, with residential energy storage systems accounting for over 30% of global installations. Behind this trend lies a growing consumer demand for energy independence, security, and decarbonization—opening significant opportunities for technology-driven enterprises like Q-SUN to penetrate and thrive in an otherwise competitive market.

The Future is Now ——Lighting the Way Forward

Amid the synergy of the EU’s Green Deal and China’s dual carbon goals, Chinese renewable energy leaderssuch as Q-SUN are bridging East and West through innovation. By aligning European standards with Chinesespeed, Q-SUN is weaving a robust green energy network from the Alps to the global stage.
This grand convergence of technology in a city of greenery not only highlights Q-SUN’s growing globafootprint but also signals a new era of high-level, mutually beneficial cooperation in the energy sectolbetween China and Europe.
